Gary Allen Marks, 60, Sturgis, Mich., died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his residence.
He was born April 14, 1951, in LaGrange, to Charles Mobley and Lela Marks.
He lived in Sturgis for the past two years, coming from Ocala, Fla. Before moving to Florida, he had lived in White Pigeon, Mich., for many years and his early life was spent in LaGrange. He was a truck driver.
He was married January 20, 1973, in White Pigeon, Mich., to Gayle Lunger. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Michelle (Robert) Stump, Sturgis, Mich.; one son, Ken (Nycole Amaya) Marks, Sturgis, Mich.; several grandchildren; one sister, Deb (Mark) Paulus, LaGrange; two brothers, Charles (Carol) Mobley Jr., Ocala, Fla., and Chad Mobley, Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mobley, his mother and stepfather, Lela and Delbert Haag, and one grandson, Christian M. Stump.
Services were held Thursday, December 1, at Hackman Family Funeral Homes Hackman Chapel in Sturgis, Mich., with Gary Cox officiating.
Private burial will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery at a later date.
