Frieda Mullins

 

Frieda Mullins, 101, Avilla, formerly of Stroh, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.

    She was born August 9, 1910, in Hindman, Ky., to D.L. “Doc” and Cynthia (Ritchie) Fuller. 

    Moving to this area from Kentucky in 1953, she was a homemaker and member of Stroh United Baptist Church.

    She was married to Ottis Sizemore. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1963. She then married Chester Mullins. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1988.

    Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Lola Conley, Wolcottville, and Cynthia and Kenneth Rowlison, Kendallville; one son, Moris Lee Sizemore, Big Turkey Lake; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Sizemore, LaGrange; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grand-children.

    She was also preceded in death by one son, William Sizemore, a son-in-law, Lotchie Conley, two great-grandchildren, and nine brothers and sisters.

    Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 27, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel.

    Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel with Reverend Willie Collins and Reverend Leburn Combs officiating. 

    Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

    Preferred memorials may be directed to Mount Calvary Baptist Church or Stroh United Baptist Church.
