Freeman S. Miller, 83, Topeka, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
He was born July 18, 1930, in Nappanee, Ind., to Simon A. and Lizzie (Borkholder) Miller.
He was a carpenter and farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was married February 15, 1951, in Topeka, to Edna Mae Borntrager. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2011. He was married November 22, 2012, in Topeka, to Mary (Bontrager) Miller. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jerry (Elizabeth) Miller, LaGrange, and Vernon (Marietta) Miller, Topeka; two daughters, Clara Mae (Ernest) Bontrager, Topeka, and Pollyanna (Amos) Miller, Centreville, Mich.; one stepson, LaWayne (Arlene) Miller, Shipshewana; five stepdaughters, Sharon (Floyd) Lambright, Topeka, Carolyn (Richard) Lambright, Topeka, LaVerda Miller, Topeka, Marlene (Freeman) Slabach, Goshen, and Glenda (Galen) Lambright Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 44 stepgrandchildren, 62 stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Pollyanna (Dan) Bowman, Middlebury; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Andy) Miller, Middlebury and Esther Galloway, Ligonier; three brothers, John Henry Miller, Middlebury, Ervin (Margaret) Miller, Goshen, and Amos (Janet) Miller, Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Andy Miller, one stepson-in-law, Merle Miller, one stepdaughter, Karen Miller, and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 27, at the Vernon Miller residence, 9660W 650S in Topeka with Bishop John Beachey and Bishop Samuel Mast Jr. officiating.
Burial is in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
