Francesbelle "Fran"Johnson, 82, Osseo, Mich., died Saturday, April 26, 2014.
She was born December 26, 1931, in LaGrange County, to Darrell and Winifred (Greenman) Bragington.
She spent most of her life as a nursing caregiver, working at Elmhurst Hospital in Angola, Ind., Maple Lawn and the Medical Care Facility in Hillsdale, Mich., and finally Carriage Inn in Coldwater, Mich. She and her husband lived in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan, but spent 21 years as snowbirds in Florida. She was a member of Osseo Methodist Church in Osseo, Mich., and McCalls Chapel in Branford, Fla.
She was married September 30, 1949, in Auburn, Ind., to Eugene Johnson. He survives.
Also surviving are two children, Steven (Deborah) Johnson, Osseo, Mich., and Melinda Johnson, Camden, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Brent Johnson, Osseo, Mich., Tracy Kemmerling, Muskegon, Mich., Nicole Antonides, Kendallville, Ind., Joseph Harvey, Coldwater, Mich., Sam Everline, Camden, Mich., James Feningsdorf, Camden, Mich., and Amber Annus, Montgomery, Mich.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Darrelenne “Peg” Porter, Live Oak, FL.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading, Mich.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading, Mich., with Pastor Don Lee officiating.
Burial will be in South Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Ind.
