Four legs, a lick and a wag

Buddy March 24, 2014

Dear Friends,

I got my hair done this week. I must say I look pretty ‘spring’ like. My town mom says I smell good too. I always have an extra little hop to my step when I get my hair done. I am wondering if I have some bunny in me? I hope not as I like to chase them and I would hate to think about trying to chase me. That would be quite a challenge. I would guess almost impossible.

The Parkview Hospital, Sheriff’s Department, American Red Cross and Ark animal sanctuary were all at the Lima Brighton School this week talking to the 4th graders about safety. Yep, you guessed it I was there along with my new friends Pip and Daphne. We had a blast. Oh my goodness, if you need some positive pats, that is the place to go. I was patted so many times and shush, don’t tell my lake mom but got some pretty good treats too.

We shared about the sanctuary, the importance of spaying and neutering, how to approach a dog, how cool it is to wear a tag with your very own name and address on it and a whole bunch of other things, but the best was the pats! Thanks Lima Brighton for making us feel good. There are some cool pictures on our web site, check them out.

All of Mama’s 15 puppies have their ‘fur-ever’ homes now. How very cool is that! We still have lots of great dogs and cats for adoption. Spring is a great time to get a new pet. Check them out at the sanctuary.

There are these strange noises coming from the TV at both of my mom’s. It sounds like a ball bouncing and then there is yelling and clapping and whistles. My lake mom is pretty excited, I heard her yell several times over the weekend. She says something like ‘Go State’. My town mom doesn’t yell much but she is watching the same stuff. I don’t know what ‘Go State’ means, but I know my lake mom is happy. I am happy when my moms are happy.

Quote of the week: “If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.” St. Francis of Assisi

I sure hope ‘Go State’ continues to be on TV! Have a great week and I continue to look forward to hearing from you.

Your “fur-ever friend,

Buddy
