Four injured in Monday morning crash

Four people were taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital Monday morning following a four vehicle crash on the west side of LaGrange on US 20.

According to officers at the scene, a small car was eastbound on US 20 shortly after 7 a.m. about a quarter mile west of Townline Road when it went left of center, striking a westbound minivan. The car continued east, striking a second westbound car that tried to avoid the first car. Both cars came to rest off the north side of the road.

After being struck by the initial car, the minivan went left of center, striking a second minivan. The first minivan came to rest in the eastbound lane on its roof. The second minivan came to rest in the ditch on the south side of the road.

It was reported that four people were taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Two were reportedly from the small car that initiated the crash. The other two were from the minivan that was struck by the car. The occupants of the other two vehicles involved were examined and released at the scene.

There was no other information on the names of those involved or the condition of the injured available as of presstime.

U.S. 20 was closed for over an hour as emergency personnel worked to clean up the scene
