Four arrested on meth charges

 

A traffic stop on March 7 in LaGrange resulted in four people being arrested on meth charges.

According to the LaGrange Police Department, Officer Tony Clark and his K-9 partner made a traffic stop early Wednesday morning. During the stop, methamphetamine was allegedly discovered and Cindy Mercer, 41, of Sturgis, Mich., was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing and possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

During the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence on Ryason St. Officers arrested three people at the residence and removed a 5-year-old child from the residence, who was placed in the custody of the Division of Child Services.

Dustin Weingarrtner, 31, of LaGrange was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of meth, marijuana, and paraphernalia, dealing meth, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Mark Lemmings, 32, also of LaGrange, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of meth, marijuana and paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Holly Lucas, 26, of LaGrange, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of meth and maintaining a common nuisance.

Officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.
