The LaGrange County Health Department has received its seasonal flu vaccine and will begin administering doses at all of its immunization clinics. Flu vaccine is recommended for everyone over the age of six months.
The health department will be having an after-hours Flu Shot Clinic from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the office. This clinic is open to children and adults. Children who are under the age of 18 and who do not have medical insurance or who are on Medicaid will receive the vaccine free of charge. Children of any age who have medical coverage and adults will be charged $20.
Children’s flu vaccine is available immediately at any of the health department’s walk-in and appointment clinics. Adult vaccine will not be available until Oct. 24, then will also be available at any clinic location.
