Floyd W. Douglas, 96, LaGrange, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
He was born November 2, 1915, in Bannister, Mich., to Levi and Cora Belle (Bash) Douglas.
Moving from Ft. Wayne to LaGrange County in 1927, he was a farmer and retired in 1978 after 20 years with the Indiana Toll Road, where he had worked as a lead mechanic in Maintenance Building 4. He was a member the Old Car Club.
He was married August 10, 1935, in Goshen, to Dorotha E. Fought. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1980.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Walter Gonser, LaGrange; one granddaughter, Jackie Easterday and her companion, Randy Hostetler, LaGrange; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Wayne and Mary Gonser, LaGrange; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lou Gonser, two sisters, and six brothers.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange.
