Fannie B. Frutig, 94, LaGrange, formerly of Adams Lake in Wolcottville, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
She was born August 24, 1918, in Leoti, Kan., to Albert and Alice (Bliss) Jackson.
Moving from Denver, Colo., to LaGrange County in 1945, she and her husband were the former co-owners of the Sportsman Bar in LaGrange and the Lazy Susan on Adams Lake, and managed the LaGrange County Country Club and LaGrange American Legion Post 215. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in LaGrange, IN, Sylvan Chapter #251 Order of the Eastern Star, and LaGrange Moose Auxiliary.
She was married August 23, 1943, in Englewood, Colo., to Robert Frutig Jr. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1998.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Larry Clark, LaGrange, two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen L. and Sue Frutig, LaGrange, and R. Ronald and Carmen Frutig, Perrysburg, Ohio; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Kathryn Sherburne, Wenatchee, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Bonnie Higgins and Pearl Yonkers, and one brother, Albert Jackson.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 11, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange. Sylvan Chapter #251 OES will have a service at 7:45 p.m.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in LaGrange with Reverend Sandra Hutchens and Reverend Tom McShannock officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
