Fairfield boys hold off Panthers

 

Fairfield held off Prairie Heights, 64-50 in the NECC boys basketball opener for both clubs last Friday night in Benton.

A 39-15 edge on the boards and a 24-27 effort from the foul stripe were the top factors in the Falcons’ win. Brad Lantz netted 16 points and 16 rebounds to pace the victors in both departments.

Garrett Scott racked up 14 points and 10 caroms for Fairfield. Joseph Line produced 13 points and Marcus Rodes finished with 11.

Jacob Heller led the Panthers with 20 points and four rebounds.
