Ezra Miller

Ezra E. Miller, 83, LaGrange, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor of LaGrange.

    He was born December 27, 1929, in Shipshewana, to Enos E. and Ida (Yoder) Miller.

    He was a farmer and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

    He was married December 13, 1951, in Topeka, to Anna Bontrager. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2003.

    Surviving are one daughter, Mary Alice (Vernon) Miller, Topeka; four sons, Marion (Clara) Miller, Howe, Cletus (Rosetta) Miller, Cave City, Ark., Glen Miller, Elkhart, and Mervin (Katie Fern) Miller, Ligonier; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ida Mae (Ervin) Bontrager, Shipshewana, Alma Beechy, LaGrange, Amanda Miller, Shipshewana, and Anna (Mervin) Mast, LaGrange; and two brothers, Harley Miller and Jerry (Ruby) Miller, both of Shipshewana.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, an infant daughter, Ruby, one grandson, two infant great-grandchildren, one sister, Wilma Bontrager, a sister-in-law, Wilma Miller, and two brothers-in-law, Amos R. Bontrager and Danny Beechy.

    Funeral services were held Sunday, June 16, at the Mervin E. Miller residence, 11385W 800S in Ligonier, with Bishop LaVern Raber, Bishop Harry W. Miller and Bishop Levi Barkman officiating.

    Burial is in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
