Eula Chandler, 91, LaGrange, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, Ind.
She was born June 29, 1922, in Mt. Pisgah, Ind., to Clifford and Clara (Forst) Goodsell.
Living all her life in LaGrange County, she became a “Rosie the Riveter Girl” during World War II by working at the Lima Tank Plant in Lima, Ohio. She then worked for the Kirsch Co. in Sturgis, Mich., until her retirement. She was a member of the Stroh Church of Christ.
She was married November 19, 1988, in Stroh, Ind., to Duane Chandler. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2003.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, James (Karen) Clugston, LaOtto, Ind., and Michael (Kathy) Clugston, South Bend, Ind.; three stepdaughters and one son-in-law, Carol Swartz, Leo, Ind., Sandra Rose, Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Barbara (Don) Perl, Highland, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Andrew Goodsell.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Pastor Mike Hamm officiating.
Burial will be in Lake Bethel Cemetery, rural LaGrange.
