Estela V. Bowers, 69, Howe, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her residence.
She was born March 26, 1942, in Nogales, Ariz., to Oscar F. and Estela (Murrieta) Villalvazo.
She was a 1960 graduate of Nogales High School and worked at Thurston Woods Village Retirement Center for 20 years.
She was married October 4, 1969, in Tustin, Calif., to Arthur W. Bowers. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur W. Jr. and Bobbi Jo Bowers, Howe, and Oscar E. and Julianna Bowers, LaGrange; one daughter, Teresita F. Schultis, Kendallville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Consuelo and Harold Concepeon, LaPuenta, Calif., and Margarita and Daniel Jenkin, Santer, Calif.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Oscar and Diane Villalvazo, Tustin, Calif., and Enrique and Sharon Villalvazo, Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Allison Bowers, Clinton Bowers, Bethany Schultis, Gabriel Schultis, Mercedi Bowers, Kyler Bowers and Elizabeth Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, January 3 at the St Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange with Father Andy Martinez officiating.
