Emma A. Hochstetler, 93, LaGrange, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at her residence.
She was born May 9, 1920, in Plymouth, Ind., to Andrew L. and Anna (Burkholder) Miller.
She was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She was married November 16, 1944, in Nappanee, Ind., to Harley J. Hochstetler. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1996.
Surviving are five daughters, Mary (Wesley) Hochstetler and Mattie (Roy) Schrock, both of LaGrange, Sarah (Freeman) Schmucker and Fannie (Amos) Miller, both of Howe, and Ida Hochstetler, LaGrange; five sons, Levi (Katie) Hochstetler and Andrew (Carrie) Hochstetler, both of LaGrange, Eli (Elmina) Hochstetler, Howe, Daniel (Elsie) Hochstetler, Goshen, Ind., and Elmer (Wilma) Hochstetler, LaGrange; a son-in-law, Harley (Edna Fern) Schrock, Howe; a daughter-in-law, Edna Hochstetler, Wolcottville; 81 grandchildren; 217 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Jacob A. Miller and Simon A. (Rosie) Miller, both of Nappanee, Ind.; two sisters, Anna A. Miller and Sarah Miller, both of Shipshewana; and a sister-in-law, Mary (Marvin) Otto, Kokomo, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Susie Schrock, one son, Jacob Hochstetler, three sisters, Katie Kemp, Mary Lehman, and Mattie Weller, one brother, Ray Miller, and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. Monday, January 13, and all day Tuesday, January 14, at the Andrew Hochstetler residence, 2520W 350N in LaGrange.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, at the Alvin Graber residence, 2775N 250W in LaGrange, with Bishop Perry Whetstone and home ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Mast Cemetery, LaGrange.
