Emery Mishler Clark, 90, LaGrange, formerly of Ft. Wayne, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Life Care Center of LaGrange.
He was born April 15, 1921, in Huntington, to Virgil and Effie (Nicholson) Clark.
He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy and participating in the Asia-Pacific area campaign. He retired from Dana in Ft. Wayne after 30+ years, where he was a union representative.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda (Jim) Johnson, Angola, Judy (Bill) Daley, Meriden, Conn., and Diane Sancho; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Shockey, Bluffton, Ind., Celeste (Wayne) Troyer, Woodburn, Ind., and Anna Louise Smith, Bluffton, Ind.; two brothers, Nelson (Millie) Clark, Las Vegas, Nev., and Norman Clark, Oregon; several nieces and nephews; and all of his friends and caretakers at Life Care Center of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Effie and Forest “Frostie” Blocker, his father and stepmother, Virgil and Marie Clark, one sister, Mary McAlpin, one brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Ruth Clark, and the mother of his children, Dorothy (Shorey) Clark.
Visitation is 12-2 p.m. Friday, January 27, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 27, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel.
Burial with Honor Guard services by Kendallville VFW Post 2749, Rome City American Legion Post 381, and active duty members of U.S. Navy will be in Woodruff Cemetery.
