Elva B. Wysong, 89, Goshen, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at Waterford Crossing Apartments in Goshen.
She was born February 3, 1925, in Goshen, to Daniel R. and Ida R. (Schrock) Miller.
She was a homemaker and in her early adult years was a cook at the Goshen Sale Barn. She later went to work at Vickie Jeans in Goshen and then worked for many years at Starcraft in Emma. She was a lifelong member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, where she was active in the Women’s Sewing Circle, and a longtime member of the Clinton Classics Extension Homemakers Club. She was married September 2, 1944, in Goshen, to Burdette "Ike" Wysong. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Steve) Fisher, Goshen, and Jolene (Willie) Coates, South Bend, Ind.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Virginia (Ernie) Miller, Sarasota, Fla.; and her caregiver, Lois Galvan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church in Goshen with Pastor Terry Diener and Pastor Matt Yoder officiating.
Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorials may be directed to sewing activities of the Clinton Frame Mennonite Women.
