Elkhart Christian downs Howe

 

Cory Waycaster tossed in 29 points in sparking Elkhart Christian to a 62-48 varsity boys basketball win over The Howe School Saturday in Elkhart.

Waycaster netted three of the Eagles’ six, three-point baskets and went 6-9 from the foul stripe, part of a 16-7 charity shot edge for the hosts. The Wildcats were whistled for 27 fouls and had four of their players foul out.

Ryan Kupferschmid added 19 markers to the EC effort.

Renatas Issak racked up 22 points and five rebounds for the 2-6 Wildcats. Henrikas Gelgota, who swished a quartet of triples, collected 17 points and five boards. Ben Stevenson chipped in six assists and five rebounds.
