Eli C. Troyer, 70, Shipshewana, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
He was born on June 9, 1943, in Topeka, to Crist and Susie (Yoder) Troyer.
He was a farmer and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was married April 7, 1966, in Middlebury, to Ruby M. Miller. She survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Susie (Dan) Beechy, Millersburg, Wilma (David) Hochstetler, Topeka, Leora (Amos) Hochstetler, Topeka, Marlene (Vernon) Lehman, Shipshewana, and Esther (Richard) Miller, LaGrange; four sons, Howard (Betty) Troyer, Hayden, Idaho, Vernon (Mary) Troyer, LaGrange, Crist (Linda) Troyer, Shipshewana, and David Troyer, Shipshewana; 28 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren, one great-granddaughter; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew (Mary) Troyer, Shipshewana, and Levi (Viola) Troyer, Middlebury; and four sisters, Lydia Ann (Sam) Kauffman, Shipshewana, Mary (Dan) Schrock, Shipshewana, Amanda (John) Miller, Ft. Wayne, and Fannie Troyer, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Katie Troyer, and one granddaughter, Sharon Sue Miller.
Visitation is all day Monday, November 18, at the family residence, 6395W 200N in Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, at the Roy Yoder residence, 6555W 200N in Shipshewana, with Bishop Vernon Slabach and home ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
