Edwin Arthur Schrock, 86, LaGrange, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at his residence.
He was born March 18, 1926 in Hutchinson, Kan., to Mose and Alice (Troyer) Schrock.
Living most of his life in LaGrange County, he was a partner in Kehr Iron Works in LaGrange until his retirement in 1994. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange, LaGrange American Legion Post 215, VFW of Sturgis, Mich., and LaGrange Moose Lodge 1351. He was a former member of the LaGrange Plat Board.
He was married May 14, 1949, in Sturgis, Mich., to Catherine I. Keller. She survives.
Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, DeLee (Nick) and Janice Schrock, LaGrange; one daughter, Delores (Dee) Meeks, Wolcottville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaron A. Schrock, and two brothers, Darwin Schrock and his twin, Edward Schrock.
Funeral Mass was held Thursday, May 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange with Father Andrew Martinez officiating.
Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
