Edna E. Rinehart, 81, Howe, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange.
She was born December 25, 1929, in Mt. Sterling, Ky., to Claude H. and Etta (Haney) Thomas.
Living most of her life in LaGrange County, she worked at Kirsch Company in Sturgis, Mich., from 1953 until her retirement in 1991.
She was married March 23, 1946, in Orland, to Gerald E. Rinehart. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Rita Himes, Howe, and Sherry and Douglas Weaver, Goshen; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Fay and Dale Sturtz, Howe, Betty and Earl Buchanan, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Claudette Milner, Angola; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Janet Thomas, Sturgis, Mich., and J.D. and Irene Thomas, LaGrange; and a brother-in-law, Rollin Booth, Bronson, Mich.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Booth.
Services were held Saturday, December 10, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Ken Weaver officiating.
Burial is in Brushy Chapel Cemetery, rural LaGrange.
