Jayden Lilly fired in 16 points in leading Eastside to a 44-33 NECC boys basketball victory over visiting Lakeland last Friday night.
The Blazers used a 13-4 spurt at the start of the contest to put the Lakers in a hole they never could quite crawl out of. Lakeland chipped the margin down to seven (32-25) by the end of the third period, but a 12-8 Blazer surge in the final frame sealed the Lakers’ fate.
Kadis Renier and P.J. Dean joined Lilly in double figures on the Eastside scoresheet with 11 and 10 markers, respectively.
Daemyn Priestley swished a trio of three-point shots to finish atop the Lakeland ledger with nine markers. Chandler Mynhier was next with eight.
