The Prairie Heights and Westview boys golf teams teed off their seasons Saturday at the East Noble Invitational held on the Noble Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville.
Led by Dakota Lambert’s 88, the Panthers finished with a score of 369, placing them fifth in the final squad standings. Jason Miller fired a 91 for Heights, Jessy Morgan carded a 93, nick Bennett a 97 and Gunnar Penick a 104.
Logan Miller shot 90 to lead the Warriors, who wound up with a team count of 443 strokes, putting them sixth overall. Nate Gerardot had a 104, Dawson Oesch a 117, Trace Scoles a 132 and Kyle Miller a 152.
Michael Sharp of East Noble toured the Noble Hawk layout in two-over 73 to grab individual medalist honors and lead the Knights to the team championship with a score of 337. Karsten Cooper of Garrett followed Sharp on the medalist list with a 78. Spencer Shoemaker of DeKalb was third with a 79.
Following Sharp in the East Noble lineup were Logan Holliday with an 85, Evan Hart with an 86, Lake Clark with a 93 and Shea Targgart with a 118.
Garrett finished second to East Noble in the team results with a score of 341. DeKalb was third with a 351.
