Jena Yates canned six, three-point shots and scored with 20 markers in all as East Noble rolled past Prairie Heights, 72-46 in varsity girls basketball play Tuesday night in Brushy Prairie.
Yates sank four of her long bombs in the first half, helping the Lady Knights bolt to a 37-20 halftime lead. She then netted her final two triples in the fourth quarter, part of a 26-14 finishing kick by the visitors.
Kerri Schrock followed Yates on the East Noble scoresheet with 16 points. Schrock connected on a trio of treys, including two in the first period which sparked a 19-10 opening salvo by the Lady Knights.
Kavan Edwards swished 15 points for the winners.
Shawna Carbone tallied 16 points and snared 16 rebounds for the Lady Panthers, who were playing their second straight game without senior floor leader Tressa Terry due to injury. Also missing were Allison Young (injury) and Makyla York (illness).
