Durma L Butcher, 58, Howe, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at her residence.
She was born November 20, 1953, in Hazard, Ky., to Daniel G. and Marie (Patrick) Patterson.
She had worked in the manufacturing industry most of her life and was a part-time waitress. She was a musician and had her own band called “Paid the DJ’s.”
She was married December 5, 1978, in Kendallville, to Richard Butcher. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Surviving are one daughter, Raschael and John Whatley, Howe; one granddaughter, Jacklyn, Howe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Visitation is 3 p.m. Monday July 9, through 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Hilltop Baptist Church in Rome City. A church service will be held Monday at 7 p.m.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, with Pastor Larry Anglemyer Sr. officiating.
