Dry hydrant approved for Adams Lake

Fire protection for residents on the west side of Adams Lake will be improved soon. County commissioners approved an agreement at Monday’s meeting allowing the installation of the hydrant.

Commissioner Larry Miller was authorized to sign the agreement after it is signed by the proper officials of Johnson Township.

The hydrant will be installed through donations from residents in the area and is subject to county highway approval.

Emergency Management Director Stewart Bender presented commissioners with a grant application of $4,000. The money will be used to purchase a notebook and three IPADS.
