Drug arrests made after investigation

    On July 26, after investigation by the LaGrange City Police Department into the suspicion of illegal drugs at a residence on South Poplar Street in LaGrange, officers applied for a search warrant.

    After a review of the search warrant request and probable cause paperwork, LaGrange Superior Court Judge George Brown issued a search warrant for the residence.

    Officers from the LaGrange City Police Department and LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department executed the search warrant at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to the police report, officers recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia at the residence.

    Arrested were:

    Kathleen Clinton, 52, of LaGrange on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D felony, and Possession of Parphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

    Joshua Clinton, 18, of LaGrange on charges of Minor Consumption/Possession of Alcohol, a Class C misdemeanor, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

    Jami Sites, 30, of LaGrange on charges of Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class A misdemeanor, and Neglect of a Dependent, a Class D felony.

    Denzie Wright, 18, of Wolcottville on charges of Minor Consumption/Possession of Alcohol, a Class C misdemeanor, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

    Officers were assisted at the scene by the Department of Child Services due to elementary age children being present inside the residence.
