Drug arrest made after traffic stop

Shortly before 10 p.m. on July 21, an officer from the LaGrange Police Department made a traffic stop on a 1998 Honda Civic on US 20 at CR 200E.

    According to the police report, the officer observed in plain view items commonly associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of precursors, marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

    The driver of the vehicle, Rick D. Williams II, 31, of Kendallville, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of precursors, and maintaining a common nuisance.
