Dr. Sharp to address county council

Dr. Rhonda Sharp will be addressing the LaGrange County Council at their Dec. 12 meeting. Members of the council had requested that the president of the county health board attend a council meeting to explain how the department plans to spend over $100,000 received by the county in the form of a grant due to the tobacco settlement suit filed by the State of Indiana some 10 years ago.

Other items on the agenda include setting a meeting schedule for 2012 and a report from county commissioners. Under other business, the council is likely to appoint two members to the redevelopment commission for a one-year term. This board must be in place and reorganize the first of the year.
