Dorothy C. Faflick, 85, Howe, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1928, in Columbus, Ohio, to David V. and Ruth B. (Hawkins) Cowan.
She was raised in Copley, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She and her husband resided in Fairview Park, Ohio, until retiring to Howe in 1981. She was a homemaker and 50-year member of Sylvan Chapter #251 Order of Eastern Star.
She was married December 27, 1947, in Akron, Ohio, to Walter W. Faflick. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda (Steve) Scharf, Howe, and Lori (Kris) Matula, Germantown, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Ted) Roethlisberger, Kalamazoo, Mich., Jonathan (Becki) Scharf, Carleton, Mich., Joshua (Nina) Scharf, Columbia Station, Ohio, Jacob Scharf, Angola, Ind., and Amy Matula, Jack Matula, and Eric Matula, all of Germantown, Tenn.; and five great-grandchildren, Anna Roethlisberger, JT Roethlisberger, Madelynn Scharf, Noah Scharf, and Ethan Scharf.
Visitation is 4-6:30 p.m. Monday, November 4, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with an Eastern Star service by Sylvan Chapter #251 OES at 6:30 p.m.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange with Reverend Ken Weaver officiating.
