Dorothy M. “Dottie” Calhoun, 60, LaGrange, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
She was born January 4, 1952, in Eau Claire County, Wisc., to Milton L. and Matilda (Fiegert) Washburn.
Moving from Arizona to the area in 1970, she was the secretary for the LaGrange County Surveyor’s Office for 25 years. She was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church in LaGrange.
She was married October 17, 1998, at David Rogers Park in LaGrange County, to Dan R. Calhoun. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Hillari A. Bates, LaGrange, and Laura L. and Robert Frend, Wawaka, Ind.; two stepdaughters and one stepson-in-law, Jen Calhoun, Avilla, Ind., and Amber and Joe Peterson, Avilla, Ind.; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Caleb Frend; two stepgrandchildren, Tatum and Joe Peterson; one sister, Betty Eisberner, Fairchild, Wisc.; and two brothers, David and Richard Washburn, both of Wisconsin.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Wade Sturdivant officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
