Donna Maxine “Maxi” Halderman, 89, died April 28, 2014.
She was born May 22, 1924, in LaGrange, to Harry D. Lounsbury and Nevada Ruth (Randol) Lounsbury.
She grew up in LaGrange and graduated from LaGrange High School. She and her husband moved to Hayfork, Calif., in 1952, where they lived for the next 17 years. The family moved to Pine Grove, Calif., for a few years and after her husband’s death she moved to Hayfork, where she spent her remaining years.
She was married in 1945 in S. LA to then Master Sgt. Kenneth W. Halderman. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Surviving are her friend and companion, Tom Horton, Redding, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patt and Terry Grim, Pioneer, Calif.; two daughters-in-law, Marilyn Finch (Danny), Hayfork, Calif., and Marlene Halderman; five grandsons, Forrest Grim, Tom Grim and Todd Grim, all of Sacramento, Calif., Bob (Tammy) Halderman, Dayton, Ore., and Kenny (Peggy) Halderman, Hayfork, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, JB (Allycia) Halderman, stationed in Texas with the U.S. Air Force, Jenni Halderman, Salem, Ore., Rachael Halderman, Hayfork, Calif., and Jake Halderman, Hayfork, Calif.; and one sister, Phillis Lash, Kendallville, Ind.
She was preceded in death by one son, Fredric L. (Fritz) Halderman, one grandson, Derrill F. (Chris) Halderman, and two brothers, Francis (Panny) Lounsbury and Harry (Bill) Lounsbury.
Private family services will be held.
