Donald R. Ward, 57, Orland, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at his residence.
He was born September 24, 1954, in Gary, Ind., to Richard C and Elizabeth J. (Gericke) Ward.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from November 21, 1973 to September 1, 1976. He was an independent truck driver and member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Church in Bronson, Mich.
He was married November 21, 1987, in LaGrange, to Michele M. Anglemeyer. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Elizabeth J. Ward; three sons, Jason A. and Stacey Adkins, Elkhart, Tommy E. Adkins, Bunker Hill, Ind., and Austin Padgett, at home; four grandchildren; one brother, Theodore C. Ward, Elkhart; five sisters, Janet and David Krauser, Elkhart, Carol Trovatore, Elkhart, Judith Ward, Tulsa, Okla., JoAnne Ward-Selmon & David Selman, Goshen, and Barbara Wise, Bristol.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard C Ward.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 2, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Church in Bronson, Mich.
Services with military rites by LaGrange American Legion Post 215 will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 3, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Church in Bronson, Mich., with Pastor Don Matteson and Pastor Cory Weatherton officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
