Donald Stanfield

    Donald Lee Stanfield, 72, LaGrange, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, Ind.

    He was born November 22, 1941, in Mishawaka, Ind., to William H. and Thelma (Everson) Stanfield.

    Living most of his lifetime in Buchanan, Mich., he moved to LaGrange in 2008. He was a quality control manager for Electro-Voice, Inc., a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and member of LaGrange American Legion Post 215.

    He was married September 24, 1966, in South Bend, Ind., to Janice Kazmierzak. She survives.

    Also surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Roxane and Chad Cerda, Indianapolis, Ind., and Rebecca Stanfield, Coral Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren, Keira and Lucas Cerda; one sister, Helen Verhoestra, Fishers, Ind.; and one brother, William H. Stanfield, South Bend, Ind.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    Memorial visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, January 16, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
