Donald Elmer Harris, 92, Centreville, Mich., died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers, Mich.
He was born June 26, 1922, in LaGrange, to Donald and Mildred (Pearson) Harris.
He was a foreman at Kirsch Company until his retirement on December 31, 1982 after 40 years of service. He competed in the Kirsch bowling league and retiree league and was a former member of the Sturgis Moose Lodge.
He was married July 19, 1975, to Virginia Boyland. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Diana (James) Anderson, St. Joseph, Mich.; four grandchildren, James P. (Rhonda) Wooster, Three Rivers, Mich., Jody (Linda) Wooster, Kendallville, Ind., Jerry R. Wooster, and Josie (Jacob) Cossairt, Florida; six stepchildren; and very special friends Rob (Jessica) Hempel and sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Erma (Harris) Wooster, brothers, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, September 6, at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, Mich.
Memorial service will be noon Saturday, September 6, at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, Mich., with Pastor David Peterson officiating.
Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery.
