Donald V. Coffman, 92, Shipshewana, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence.
He was born January 15, 1922, in Shipshewana, to Victor and Vinetta (Garber) Coffman.
Living most of his life in LaGrange County, he was a retired farmer and worked at Fan Coach in LaGrange and Lambright’s Hatchery. He was a member of Shore Mennonite Church and LaGrange County Farm Bureau.
He was married September 1, 1945, in Shipshewana, to Margaret P. Mishler. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Gail Hirschy, Blacksburg, S.C., and Carolyn and Kevin Miller, Newton, Kan.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Coffman, West Lafayette, Ind., and Paul and Shelly Coffman, LaGrange; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Evelyn Blosser, and two brothers, John and Samuel Coffman.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 17, at Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana with Reverend Carl Horner officiating.
Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.
