DeKalb rolled to a 7-2 victory over visiting Lakeland in varsity boys soccer play Tuesday evening.
The Barons tallied five times in the first half, with three of those goals coming off the foot of Brennan Cochran. Ross Gramling and Quinton Lengacher each knocked in one marker. Evan Freed assisted on two of the scores.
Cochran netted his fourth goal of the night early in the second half off a feed from Grant Lockwood. Cochran then finished off his stellar night by setting up Trey Beachy for DeKalb’s final goal.
Dustin Cunningham scored both Laker goals in the second half. Assisting on each marker was Nick Byler.
Baron keeper Chase Secrist was credited with 11 saves. Skyler Booth made eight stops for Lakeland.
