David L. Bontrager, 90, Albion, Ind., died Tuesday, February 18 at North Ridge Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albion, Ind.
He was born February 4, 1924, in LaGrange County, to Levi R. and Anna (Christner) Bontrager.
He was a farmer and factory worker in his early adult years and delivered newspapers in his later years. He was a member of Topeka Mennonite Church and also attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Albion for Thursday evening community dinners.
He was married January 31, 1946 to Susie L. Miller. She preceded him in death on March 15, 1997.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Mae (Daniel) Weaver, and a stillborn sister, Ida.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, February 20, and 10-11 a.m. Friday, February 21, at Topeka Mennonite Church.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, at Topeka Mennonite Church with Pastor Conrad Showalter and Pastor Elmer Wyse officiating.
Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Topeka.
