David L. Anspaugh, 65, of Sturgis, MI, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Joe Regional Hospital, Mishawaka, IN of cancer.
He was a retired school teacher. He had taught at North Adams High School, Lakeland High School and Clinton High School. He had been the principal at Sturgis High School, Assistant Principal at Prairie Heights High School and Superintendent at Waldron High School. He coached several sports at the different high schools.
He was a member at the Sturgis Evangelical Church. He was a stock car race driver, loved NASCAR, enjoyed golfing, fishing, running and loved his ice cream.
David was born October 27, 1948 in Angola, IN to Charles H. and Virginia L. (Grayson) Anspaugh. He married Charlotte J. Easterday on August 25, 1973.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte J. Anspaugh of Sturgis, MI; one brother Frank (Nancy) Anspaugh Sr. of Angola, IN; one sister Carol Ann Anspaugh of Jacksonville, FL and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
Services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, IN with Pastor Rodger Moyer officiating.
Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, IN.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM Monday, July 28, 2014 and 2-6 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, IN.
Memorials may be made to Olivet College, Any Schools Scholarship Fund, Victory Junction or Sturgis Cancer Association.
