Daniel D. Schrock, 88, LaGrange, formerly of Shipshewana, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
He was born September 6, 1925, in Middlebury, to Jonas J. and Sylvia (Miller) Schrock.
He was a truck driver most of his life, working for Zook Trucking for many years and then for Yoder Farm and Feed in Topeka from 1984 until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana and did Amish taxi work after his retirement.
He was married October 30, 1954, in Emma Church, to Alice Shetler. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald D. Schrock and Dale A. (Sandy) Schrock, both of Nampa, Idaho; one granddaughter, Nicole R. Schrock, Nampa, Idaho; three sisters, Anna Chupp, Arthur, Ill., Fannie (Rueben) Miller, Sullivan, Ill., and Lena (David) Schrock, Arthur, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jacob and Joseph Schrock.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana with Pastor Carl Horner officiating.
Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.
