Daniel Detweiler, 61, Shipshewana, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his residence.
He was born August 19, 1951, in Inola, Okla., to William and Catherine (Yoder) Detweiler.
He was self-employed with Country Lane Hardwoods and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was married November 4, 1976 to Sue Ann Hochstetler. She preceded him in death on October 10, 1997. He was married March 25, 1999 to Mary Miller. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Glen (Sherry) Detweiler, Middlebury, and Marlin (Velma) Detweiler, Shipshewana; one daughter, Wilma (John Jr.) Bontrager, Shipshewana; eight grandchildren; mother-in-law Wilma Hochstetler, Shipshewana; five brothers, Robert (Susan) Detweiler, Orie (Sara) Detweiler, Jake (Ruth) Detweiler, and Eli (Ina) Detweiler, all of Inola, Okla., and Will (Ida) Detweiler, Fredericksburg, Ohio; and five sisters, Susie Chupp, Barbara (Everett) Yoder, and Salina Detweiler, all of Inola, Okla., Martha (Nelson) Chupp and Edna (Clarence) Miller, both of Chouteau, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Vonda Detweiler, one brother, Joe Detweiler, a brother-in-law, Noah Ray Chupp, and father-in-law, Roman Hochstetler.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Thursday, September 6, and all day Friday, September 7, at the family residence, 1590N 675W in Shipshewana.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 8, at the family residence, 1590N 675W in Shipshewana, with Bishop Vernon Slabach and home ministers officiating.
Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
