Dale Blosser

Dale E. Blosser, 79, Elkhart, Ind., died Monday, August 25, 2014 at Elkhart General Hospital.

    He was born October 25, 1934, in Elkhart, Ind., to Mary (Markley) Blosser.

    He was a 1952 graduate of Elkhart High School and a 1957

graduate of Western Michigan University, where he received a BA degree in engineering. He was an engineer and superintendent for Penn Controls/Johnson Controls, retiring after 41 years of service. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a high school basketball referee for 39 years.

    He was married June 22, 1957, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, to Joanne M. Bueter. She survives.

    Also surviving are five children, Larry (Carolyn) Blosser, Elkhart, Ind., Janice “Jan” (Marty) Hiller, Tampa, Fla., Julie Dale, LaGrange, Tom Blosser, Elkhart Ind., and Mark (Erin) Blosser, Noblesville, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Sharlene Blosser.

    Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 28, at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart, Ind. A rosary recital will conclude the evening beginning at 7:45

p.m. Friends may also call for an hour prior to the 11 a.m.

Friday, Aug. 29, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de

Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev.

Matthew Coonan will officiate. In keeping with his wishes,

cremation will follow the Mass. Burial will be at a later date

in Yellow Creek Cemetery in Goshen.
