Crist J. Miller, 88, Shipshewana, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1924, in Dodge City, Kan., to Joe B. and Lydia (Troyer) Miller.
He worked at Star Tank in Goshen for 20 years, was a farmer, and was a deacon for over 40 years in the Old Order Amish Church.
He was married February 19, 1948, in Topeka, to Katie Troyer. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dale Eugene Miller, Billy (Terry) Miller, and Crist (Ida) Miller Jr., all of Shipshewana; a son-in-law, Richard (Loretta) Miller, Goshen; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Miller, Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Ruthie Mae Miller, one son, Paul Miller, six brothers, Roman, William, Ben, David, Noah and Joe Miller Jr., and four sisters, Sue Yoder, Katie Bontrager, Polly Miller and Edna Miller.
Services were held Monday, December 17, at the David Bontrager residence, 61215 E. County Line Rd. in Shipshewana, with Bishop Karl Dean Miller and home ministers officiating.
Burial is in Bontrager Cemetery, Middlebury.
