Shortly after 10 p.m. on March 30, the LaGrange County Communication Center received a call in regards to a male subject with a gun. The caller advised the male subject with a gun was his son, Michael J. Richardson. The caller stated Richardson had shot the front door to the residence while his uncle was at the door.
Officers responded to the intersection of CR 750E and CR 250N, where they met the caller, who was standing by the intersection until officers arrived. When the officers arrived to the residence, Richardson was outside the residence holding a long rifle. With the assistance from Indiana Conservations officers and the LaGrange Police Department, Richardson was taken into custody.
He was transported to the LaGrange County Jail, where he was booked on charges of Pointing a Firearm and Criminal Recklessness.
