County Auditor Kay Myers received $973,763.03 from the State of Indiana Tuesday. The money is LaGrange County’s share of funds that were not correctly distributed in 2011 and part (first four months) of the 2012 calculated distributions.

Of the total received, county government will receive $379,531.32 in County Adjusted Gross Income Tax (CAGIT) which will go into the general fund and $127,227 will go into the Economic Development Income Tax (EDIT) fund.

The balance of the funds will be distributed to the towns, schools, townships and library. Myers indicated that distribution would be made Thursday, April 12.
