Lisa Owen, a 28-year resident of Stroh, Indiana, has recently joined the board of directors for LaGrange County Habitat for Humanity. Originally from Michigan, Lisa is a graduate of Ferris State University.
Lisa, a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church near Hudson, is a 15-year employee of Dometic in LaGrange, working in the materials department, coordinating stock control and distribution to outlying warehouses.
Joining the board for her first meeting in February, Lisa is excited about her new venture and is eager to learn about LCHFH. With LCHFH’s next project likely to be its second NRI home near Stroh, Lisa will be on hand to see this project from start to finish. Although she has not participated in previous housing projects in her area, she is acquainted with a previous partner family and has watched the three Stroh LCHFH homes being built.
Her hobbies include quilting, knitting, and fishing with her husband. And, oh yes, photography. So, don’t be surprised if you volunteer at NRI home # 2 and see a new face behind the camera. It may be Lisa Owen, the newest member of the team.
