The LaGrange County Council on Aging (COA) hosted a special Halloween breakfast on Oct. 31.
Breakfast was served by the staff and board members. Those in attendance were asked to dress in costume if they wanted to. The staff wanted to make the breakfast fun for everyone. Kids are the ones that normally get to enjoy the Halloween festivities of dressing up, but the COA wanted the seniors to have the chance to have fun, too!
A contest was held for most creative. Kristyn Steele, transportation coordinator for COA, was the recipient of this award. Scariest costume went to Paul McCoy. Funniest was awarded to Marilyn Fulkner, COA Board member and Miller’s Merry Manor Admissions and Marketing, and Sandy Shields.
The LaGrange County COA hosts a luncheon every third Monday of the month at 11:30 a.m. There are guest speakers every month for this free luncheon. If you would like to sponsor a luncheon or need more information, call 260-463-4161.
The next luncheon will be sponsored by the LaGrange County COA and staff, with guest speaker Jean Fremion, who heads up the Veterans Headstone Project.
