Copper wire stolen

 

On March 9, an officer from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched the area of CR 400N between SR 9 and CR 100E regarding theft of copper wire from a field pivot.

According to the police report, the crime was discovered while the family that farms the land was taking GPS readings of the field for the upcoming planting season. The crime took place sometime during the last five months. There was 370 feet of wire stolen from the pivots.

This case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department at 463-7491.
