A contract with Government Utilities Technology Service (GUTS) was approved by county commissioners at Monday’s meeting. County Treasurer Vonda Akey presented the contract and recommended approval. The contract covers the LaGrange County tax sale for 2013. GUTS is the same firm that has conducted the sale in past years.
County IT Director Bob Murphy asked commissioners to approve the purchase of two printers and five barcode scanners for use in the treasurer’s office at a cost of $1,050. “Since the treasurer has decided that only one printer will be needed in her office, I will be keeping one in the IT department for a backup in case of a breakdown somewhere in the system,” Murphy explained. The cost of the single printer is $175.
County Auditor Kay Myers presented the 2012 annual county financial report for approval. Myers also reported that the county has received approval of the 2013 budget from the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF).
