Constance Burtch


Constance Louise “Connie” Burtch,69, Pretty Lake, LaGrange County, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her residence.

    She was born September 23, 1942, in Bronson, Mich., to Orval and Loretta (Rumsey) Coney.

    She was a 1960 graduate of Kendallville High School and worked in the office at Sealed Power Corporation in Lagrange for about 10 years. She was a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church.

    She was married November 12, 1960, in St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church near Big Long Lake, to Ronald Lee Burtch. He survives.

    Also surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eric and Rhonda Burtch, Kendallville, and Ryan Burtch of Kendallville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Gay Cunningham, Ligonier, and Kelly and Randy Fought, Topeka; 11 grandchildren, Phillip, Macy and Daniel, Derrick, Darin, and Loren, Brooklyn, Olivia, and Parker, and Gavin and Madelyn; three
sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Don Curtis, Wolcottville, Brenda and Paul Trowbridge, Westfield, Ind.,
and Marsha and Mark Shumaker, LaGrange; one brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Norlinda Coney, Butler, Ind.; and a sister-in-law, Becky Coney, LaGrange.

    She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Coney.

    Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, January 16, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church with Fr. David Carkenord officiating.

    Burial is in Brushy Chapel Cemetery, LaGrange.
